Standing Strong

17th of Tammuz Continued…

Isaiah 11:6

2 Thessalonians 2:15

It is no wonder, then, that walls of protection have been broken down during this period again. The wall of sanctity that surrounds Jerusalem was battered and shaken when the High Court of Israel allowed the march of those who adamantly call themselves gay. Other walls were shaken when this government decided to support the terrorist regime of Abu Mazen because he is "more moderate" in his terrorism than the Hamas. Even opportunities to fix the breached wall are often missed as well. It is not a coincidence that on the day of the 17th of Tammuz the government announced that it was succumbing to Islamic pressure and cancelled the plans to build a bridge into the Temple Mount.

The next three weeks are going to be very tense and fraught with danger as it mysteriously has been throughout the generations. The greatest enemy we will have to face is fear. The greatest antidote is faith. The strength and persistence of those who are walking along this long eternal voyage are the ingredients that will allay all the dangers and much of the fear.

An eternal people have no fear of the long voyage.

A special thanks to Moshe Kempinsky and Jerusalem Insights e-magazine.

Moshe and his brother Dov run one of the greatest shops in Jerusalem called Shorashim. And although all sources say to not link your page to a page that might keep readers reading someone else's material, I would be remiss if I didn’t give you a chance to read Jerusalem Insights, an online magazine Moshe and Dov put out.  Please do remember to come back to see us.
