Our Name

 

Standing Strong is a reminder that while living in a world, a land, a community where it is easy to give in on issues of faith, we are called to stand strongly upon His word and boldly proclaim what we believe.  We are to walk out our faith, following all the teachings of the Lord, in such a way that it is obvious to the world that we are different. 

 

 

Who We Are

Standing Strong is an Expositional Liturgical Messianic Congregation with an outreach to followers of the G-d of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in Israel.

Our focus is on understanding and practicing the Lord’s words and commands as understood in the context of the first century. While fully recognizing Jesus (Yeshua) as our Lord and Savior, we observe the Sabbath and Biblical feasts.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Statement of Faith

 

We, the members of Standing Strong, hold the Holy Scriptures as contained in the “Old and New Testament” of the Bible as our rule of faith and practice. 

 

Our goal is to enrich lives regardless of race, gender, or background.

 

We believe in God the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth; and in Jesus (Yeshua) His only Son our Lord, conceived of by the power of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered, died and was buried, arose on the third day, ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.  We believe that all men and women should be given the opportunity to become useful members of the Body of Believers, doing meaningful work and being encouraged to help others find their purpose. We believe in individual responsibility for spiritual growth and in allowing each person to do God’s work as it is revealed to them in keeping with God’s Holy Word. 

 

As God fearing and law-abiding people, we claim our heritage and natural right to worship God according to the dictates of our own conscience.
