About Us |
|
Standing Strong is a Messianic Congregation with an outreach to followers of the G-d of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in Israel. We have provided micro grants and no-interest loans for business start ups, incubation, planning, and supervision in order to give hope and dignity to believers in G-d in Israel who are trying to break out of poverty, or who have hit a sudden difficulty. While in Israel, Dr. Bristol nurtured the natural talents of these people, and trained them how to start businesses to sustain, invigorate and expand the kingdom of G-d. Now that we are not residing in Israel, our focus is on reaching believers we know and providing them help while working on our study and understanding of the L-rd’s words and commands and how to implement them in our livesOur NameStanding Strong is a reminder that while living in a world, a land, a community where it is easy to capitulate on issues of faith, we are called to stand strongly upon His word and boldly proclaim what we believe. We are to walk out our faith, following all the teachings of the L-rd, in such a way that it is obvious to the world that we are different. We observe Shabbat and the Biblical feasts of HaShem.

Statement of FaithWe, the members of Standing Strong, hold the Holy Scriptures as contained in the “Old and New Testament” of the Bible as our rule of faith and practice. Our goal is to enrich lives regardless of race, gender, background or other religious affiliations. We believe in G-d the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth; and in Yeshua (Jesus) His only Son our Lord, conceived of by the power of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered, died and was buried, arose on the third day, ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. We believe that all men and women should be given the opportunity to become useful members of the Body of Believers, doing meaningful work and be encouraged to help others find their purpose. We believe in allowing individual responsibility for spiritual growth and in allowing each person to do G-d’s work as it is revealed to them.As G-d fearing and law-abiding people, we claim our heritage and natural right to worship G-d according to the dictates of our own conscience. |
