Standing Strong is a Messianic Congregation with an outreach to followers of the G-d of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in Israel. Locally, we provide insight for people who are looking to learn more about the foundations of their beliefs. Standing Strong does this in four main ways.
Every week, Standing Strong hosts a Parasha Study to delve into the meaning and relevance of the weekly portion of the Torah, first five books of the Bible, which is read by Jews each week. This study is in the same format as the Beit Midrash in Jerusalem, where people take turns in reading and everyone shares on what the portion means to them. Deeper insights from study and the prompting of G-d’s Spirit upon them are also shared.
Standing Strong also convenes for weekly services. These services combine the traditional liturgy found in the Artscroll Siddur with the weekly parasha reading and then a teaching from the Rabbi.
Standing Strong believes that fellowship with other believers is important for spiritual growth and therefore holds social gatherings such as picnics from time to time.
Finally, Standing Strong receives questions from individuals around the world. Aside from replying to these emails, the most important and profound questions will be answered online in the Teachings and Writings section. |
